The EOOS Resource Forum is pleased to announce the publication of the National Charts on Ocean Observing and Monitoring, an important step forward in mapping the landscape of in-situ ocean observation across Europe.

These interactive charts offer a detailed overview of the institutional responsibilities, governance structures, and operational processes related to ocean observing and monitoring within participating European countries. The initiative supports the EOOS mission of promoting coordination and transparency in ocean observation efforts across Europe.

The first charts now available are:

Additional national charts are in development and will be published as they are completed.

Each chart is fully interactive—users can click through multiple levels, zoom in for clarity, and hover over information boxes for detailed explanations. The charts are dynamic tools and will be updated regularly as new information becomes available.

We encourage feedback and input to help ensure the charts remain accurate and useful. Contact information is provided on each individual chart page.

Country representatives interested in contributing to the creation of new charts are warmly invited to contact Dr. Jella Kandziora (JPI Oceans).
