Evolving the European Ocean Observing System (EOOS) – Connecting communities for end-to-end solutions.
The EOOS Conference will take place in Brussels on 21-23 November 2018 bringing together a breadth of stakeholders contributing to and/or reliant on ocean observing/monitoring activities in Europe from the scientific community, public authorities to industry and civil society.
The Conference builds upon the progress made at the EOOS Forum on 8 March 2018 and aims to strengthen a broadly supported EOOS strategy and implementation plan, providing a wider perspective and forward look on the development of EOOS and next steps.
- Launch of the EOOS Strategy 2018-2022 and Implementation Plan discussed at the EOOS Forum and finalized based on the stakeholders feedback during the period between the forum and the conference 2018;
- Launch of a high-level Call to Action on Evolving European Ocean Observing: Connecting communities for end‐to‐end solutions, prepared by the EOOS events advisory committee and steering group and representing broader stakeholder groups – download here.
